Randa is a Palestinian author, journalist, and storyteller based in Helsinki. Her work explores women’s voices, memory, body, exile, and everyday life through literary storytelling, oral histories, and journalism.
Her upcoming book published by Tammi brings together testimonies and lived experiences from Gaza through an intimate literary approach.
In her visits, she speaks about writing, memory, journalism, storytelling, women’s voices, and the role of literature in preserving human experiences across borders.
Randa also offers conversations and workshops related to creative writing, autobiographical writing, and storytelling.

During my visits, I speak about literature, storytelling, journalism, memory, women’s voices, and the role of writing in preserving human experiences. My talks often explore themes such as everyday life, identity, exile, body, oral histories, and the experiences of women living through conflict and displacement.
I offer author talks, lectures, discussions, and workshops related to creative writing, autobiographical writing, storytelling, and writing as a tool for reflection and expression. Visits may include conversations about the writing process, transforming lived experiences into literature, journalism and narrative storytelling, as well as cross cultural dialogue and literature across borders.

Texts from the forthcoming book (Gazan naiset) were adapted into a choral work presented at Musiikkitalo in Helsinki for International Women’s Day 2026, composed by Anna-Mari Kähärä and performed by a large women’s choir collaboration.
